About Us
Finding Inspiration at Every Turn
Power Theory was formed to make a change for the better in the world. Our limited natural resources are vital to the continued operation of an ever-changing world. New technologies are constantly being developed that assist people and the world in many ways. However, what happens when we run out of these limited resources that power the world? Renewable energy is the end goal, but getting to that point takes a lot of collaboration and effort. Our hope at Power Theory is to steer institutions and facilities in the right direction through technologies that identify ways to efficiently reduce energy usage. Which lowers operational costs, but also works towards a sustainable campus or facility.

Our Story
Our founder, Luke Macy, began the idea of Power Theory during his time at the University of Wyoming pursuing his Master of Business Administration. During this time not only did he forge the idea of PowerTwin, but he also met his Co-Founders, Isaac Almejo-Ponce and Keon Mobasher who were classmates with Luke.

Luke being the Director of Sustainability for Associated Students of the University of Wyoming (ASUW), the student government body for the university, developed a public energy monitoring tool for the university, Campus Heartbeat, which has helped the University to identify cost-saving strategies based on campus wide energy use. Following graduation from Wyoming, Luke took his liking for sustainability and energy and began to develop a more ambitious application in the energy management software space. Soon after, Isaac and Keon joined Luke to form Power Theory.

Since then, Power Theory has set out to become a leader in digital twin technology and advanced energy monitoring systems for large-scale facilities and institutions alike. From single buildings or campuses, PowerTwin can handle and identify ways to efficiently reduce energy usage to save capital and create a sustainable future.
